My first Craw Fish Boil, what a great time, just hanging out with friends and enjoying good food and company. My son tried a raw oyster today, and said it was not that bad :o) He's always been good at trying new things. But I'm not sure how soon he'll eat another one.

I'm not feeling so good tonight. I'm just hanging low and making note card sets as thank you presents for Louie's 8th grade teachers. I love using fruit and veggie stamps. I hope you enjoy.

I officially have a Freshman!! We had 8th grade graduation this evening, Louie received a few awards, I am so proud of him. My brother Marco and sister Mari and SIL Izzy were able to make the awards assembly. We had dinner at Louie's favorite place "Buffalo Wild Wings". Mom, dad, brother, sis and SIL were able to attend. I'm home now, he has an 8th grade dance. So I'll need to pick him up at 9 and drop him back off at some place to eat. So I'm the cabby girl today.. YIPPEE. In the meantime, I'll make some cards.

I'm always a day late in posting some of my cards. I was able to make a few more cards. I need to pay closer attention to my material, but in the meantime, hope you like. Stamp set is from MFT, background paper was from a 4x6 package from K&Co., I paper pieced the rain coat, boots and doggie coat, lots of cutting and finished by watercoloring the image. With the weather lately this card was very appropriate.

I'm back, what a great weekend. My son and I spent plenty of quality time together at the trailer. We made smores and were just plain lazy :o) We got in late Monday morning, so it was great. I definitely needed another vacation day to recoop. Currently I'm training for the Chicago Breast Cancer 3Day so I was able to do some of my miles. My father accompanied me for some, not all 13 miles on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. I'm getting a little burned out, especially when I have to repeat certain spots. I'm not sure if you understand but I hate having to repeat my miles, passing by my house 3 times is a killer because I know I still have more to do. Long weekend!

I took a vacation day today to run around and do some errands before the big weekend. We're going camping, I'm really excited!! It's not hardcore camping, but there's still bugs :o)

At our camping resort there will be a nice memorial service for all the armed foreces. My brother served in the Navy during Desert Storm and my father in the army during Vietnam.

This is my first time blogging, I'm not sure how great it's going to be, maybe in a few months it'll get easier.

I made a few cards. One for the holiday and another for a sick friend, I'm sending it with a box of Chicken Noodle Soup. I hope the card picks up her spirit and is ready for a long 4 day weekend.
